Managing Delivery Instructions

Delivery instructions define how and when your Rednote consignments should be delivered. They include:

  1. Delivery Trigger – The event that initiates a delivery request.
  2. Delivery Verification – Who should be contacted to verify the delivery request.
  3. Final Delivery Decision – What should happen if no one can be contacted for verification.

Users can select one or more triggers that initiate a consignment delivery:

  • Upon Death: Automatically delivers all consigned videos.
  • Coma: Delivery if you are medically unresponsive.
  • Loss of Autonomy: If you lose the ability to care for yourself.
  • Loss of Communication Ability: If you can no longer speak, write, or communicate.
  • Loss of Cognitive Ability: If mental function is impaired.
  • Declared Missing: If authorities or family declare you missing.
  • Detention or Imprisonment: If you are incarcerated or detained.

Note: The “Upon Death” trigger overrides all others, ensuring all consigned videos are delivered if death is confirmed.

Delivery verification determines who Rednote should contact to confirm the trigger event before delivering your consignment. You can choose from:

  • Standard: Rednote will attempt to contact  ONLY YOU for verification.
  • Extended – Next of Kin: Rednote will contact YOU and your next of kins listed in your recipient profile.
  • Extended – Recipient: Rednote will contact YOU and the recipient directly for verification.

This ensures consignments are not delivered prematurely and are verified by trusted individuals.

If Rednote cannot reach you, your next of kin, or the recipient, the final delivery decision setting determines what happens next. Your options include:

  • Proceed after 7 days of contact attempts
  • Proceed after 14 days of contact attempts
  • Proceed after 30 days of contact attempts
  • Proceed after 60 days of contact attempts
  • Do not proceed with delivery

Rednote will continue contact attempts based on your selected verification method before following your final decision.

No, once a consignment is submitted, the delivery instructions are securely embedded into the video file and encrypted. They cannot be changed.

If you wish to update delivery instructions, you will need to cancel the existing consignment and create a new one with the desired settings.

Rednote verifies and then delivers each consignment according to its specific trigger.

However, if the “Upon Death” trigger is verified, all consigned videos (regardless of their different triggers) will be delivered.

Rednote takes privacy and security seriously, ensuring that consignment content remains fully protected throughout the process. Here’s how privacy is maintained:

  • Strict Verification: No video content is accessible until the delivery trigger is verified and confirmed.
  • Encrypted Access: All video files remain encrypted and fragmented in secure storage until the final delivery conditions are met.
  • Recipient Notifications:
    • Recipients are notified immediately when a consignment is created, informing them that they are designated recipients.
    • They receive periodic email reminders confirming they have consignments awaiting delivery.
    • Recipients can log in to their virtual inbox to view consignment details and remarks (excluding video content).

This ensures recipients are always aware of pending consignments while maintaining the privacy of the actual video files until authorized delivery.

If you select “Do Not Proceed with Delivery,” Rednote will attempt to verify the delivery request for a maximum of 60 days.

If verification remains unsuccessful after this period, the consignment will be permanently deleted, and the associated video files will be destroyed to maintain user privacy and security.
